- Instructions on Cloning your plants By:-Original Sensible
* Possibility of passing on diseases (and susceptibility to a disease) and pests.
* Whilst the cost per cutting may appear cheaper than the cost per seed, you will need both more space – a light shielded room kept purely for a plant remaining in the vegetative stage (and therefore often on a different light cycle to your main grow room) – and more equipment (lighting).
* Keeping a mother plant – and by implication, a cycle system of propagation – can be cited by authorities as evidence of marijuana production rather than a lesser charge of cultivation.
Choosing a good mother plant.
The best way to get a good mother plant is to take cuttings from a selection of good plants grown from seed. Force the cutting into flower (while keeping the “mother” plants in vegetative growth), and from the resulting female plants chose one which best suits what you are looking for.
Nitrogen inhibits cloning, so it is important to flush the mother with fresh pHd water (6.3 if in soil, 5.8 if in rockwool) for up to a week before taking the cuttings.
Many new growers are wary, but as long as you start with a healthy mother then it is easy to produce numerous clones that are genetically identical to the mother marijuana plant.

Cannabis cups are not the only proof of this - so are the hundreds of customer reports we receive each year that speaking highly of our cannabis strains.
- Drying and curing your Crops By:-Original Sensible
Having spent time, money and effort growing your marijuana, it is a shame to let it all down by not drying and curing the harvest properly. Luckily it’s not a difficult thing to transform the sticky flowers into a good smoke, but there are a few rules.
Avoid:
1. Drying marijuana too fast. This only ever results in a harsh smoke that still tastes green.
2. Drying marijuana too slowly – often results in mould or mildew attacks.
3. Light. This reduces potency by breaking down the THC levels.
4. High humidity: ideally it should be between 30-50%.
5. Over handling. Its great to feel sticky resin, but do you really want to waste all that THC?
6. Laying flat on newspaper etc. to dry out – this only results in squashed bud.
Everyone develops their own techniques, and it depends on the quantity of cannabis you have to dry and the climate in which you live. Big grows often end with a processing queue with everyone taking on a role then passing the marijuana plant on to the next person.
In hotter areas obviously the drying process is much quicker and the difficulty is keeping the plant from crisping. If you live in a damp climate you’ll have to watch the humidity levels.
Ideal drying temperature is between 21-27ºC.
- Common Garden Pests By:-Original Sensible
Problem: Mammals:
There are lots of small – and not so small – animals that will happily destroy an outdoor grow: deer, rabbits, armadillos in the southern US states, goats, even – and often – domestic dogs and cats (the cats will eat leaves in the same way as they sometimes chew grass to aid digestion, dogs it seems are just nosy and will dig where its owner waters!).
Solution:
* The best defence is a 1m high circle of chicken wire and stakes around each plant, but this can be expensive and also obtrusive as it shouts: “I’m worth protecting”.
* Other deterrents work by smell and are usually foul: home-made mixtures of human urine, cayenne pepper and so on. Your local garden store or farm shop may well have specific mixtures for sale against e.g., mice as these mammals attack all crops, not just yours.
Problem: Spider Mites:
One of the most common pests to hit both indoor grow rooms and outside plants, spider mites cause extensive damage and can be very difficult to get rid of.
You may need a magnifying glass to spot these as the adult is only 0.4mm long, but they leave a fine web which you may see after
a fine misting with water. The spider mite’s mouth bites the individual plant cell, ingesting the sap and leaving a brown dead cell. With ever larger infestations, the brown spotting joins up to make a mosaic bronzeeffect and leaves soon die off. With enough spider mites per plant – and reproduction rates are high – before long the whole plant dies.
Problem: White Flies
Larger in size – 2mm – and resembling tiny moths, you’ll see these fly around if you shake the plant. They suck the sap from the underneath of the leaf leaving white spots.
Problem: Thrips
Thrips shred the leaf before sucking the chlorophyll, leaving damaged leaves increasingly white. They particularly like the fresh tips at the tops of plants.
- Understanding Cannabinoids Part 2 By:-Original Sensible
22. Cannabinoids control how we view the future. If you’re loaded with bad experiences you’re going to be fearful of the future. Lots of smoking of cannabinoids makes you want to be in the future. Lack of change vs embracing the future and changes. Conservative people might die prematurely, stressed, uptight and fearful (genocide). Open minded people and mice are able to change, whereas; people with defective receptors and knock-out mice (mice that have had their receptors removed) will keep going to the platform after it has been removed. They will be fearful of change.
23. Cannabinoids prevent and treat certain types of Cancer. Glioma (Brain Cancer) along with pheochromocytoma, skin cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, Lymphoma and Leukemia. Cannabinoids may prevent or cure cancer. Cannabinoids have a way of killing the bad cells and protecting the good ones.
24. Cannabis gives relief to Liver Disease & constant uncontrollable itching. Also, lack of sleep and depression and has been doing so for 600 million years.
25. THC in low doses relieves anxiety, while huge doses promote anxiety. (It’s too strong like Marinol) Smoking marijuana relieves anxiety. Marijuana promotes sleeping better and normal persons when they are deprived of marijuana would have difficulty sleeping. (One other thing I’d like to add: When ingested, delta 9 THC, on the first pass thru the liver, changes into delta 11 THC. Five times as psychoactive and much longer lasting. I don’t know how many people understand that. Ralph)
26. Cannabis protects nerve cells from dying thus protects against Altzheimers Disease.
27. Our bodies make up marijuana like compounds to make us hungry. (gives us the munchies) Then turn off those compounds & we don’t have the munchies anymore when it has had enough food. The cannabinoid system first appeared 600 million years ago. Food & feeding is at the heart of evolution & the development of new species.
- Understanding Cannabinoids Part 1 By:-Original Sensible
The Cannabinoid System has been around for over 600 million years. Before the Dinosaurs. The Cannabinoid System is continuously evolutioning and has been retained by all new species. Food and feeding is at the heart of the Cannabinoid System.
1. Cannabinoids are in every living animal on the planet above Hydra and Mollusks, with the exception of insects. Bodies are homeostatically maintained by the Cannabinoid System.
2. Mothers give their babies a booster shot of cannabinoids in mothers milk to give them the munchies because they have to learn to eat. (they’ve been fed thru the umbilical cord and did not have to know how to eat.)
3. Mice lacking the CB1 receptors don’t like any changes. If they are moved to another part of the cage they act upset and when they are put back to the original spot in the cage they relax, but if then put into another part of the cage they get upset again. Comment: I wonder if people, especially drug warriors, had their CB1 receptors blocked then they would resist change and the ones of us that have unblocked CB1 receptors enjoy the benefits of cannabinoids are a lot more relaxed and not paranoid about or over change. Interesting thought. It turns out that that thought is absolutely correct. Many people’ brains are not capable of a good connection to the CB1 CB2 receptors.
4. All new species utilize cannabinoids.
5. By being alive and breathing air our bodies produce “free radicals”. Cannabinoids help to reverse this action.
6. Cannabinoids do kill brain cells, but the brain cells they kill are called “Glioma” or Cancer of the brain(Tumor). All other brain cells are protected and healed by cannabinoids. (Glioma cells cannot tolerate the action of cannabinoids)
7. Cannabinoids protect against sunburn and skin cancer because of the CB1 receptors in our skin.
8. Cannabinoids slow down the aging process. Mice that their brains respond to cannabinoids live longer and mice that have brains that block the CB1 receptors die younger.
9. Activity in the evolutionary advanced areas of the brain is increased in cannabinoids receptors and promotes higher consciousness levels.
