Nordyne is a well-known heating and cooling product manufacturer that specializes in manufactured home temperature control. The company was established in 1919; in 1935, the company invented the first heater for safe, efficient trailer use. The company now has a full line of heating products and distributes them under high-end brand names such as Maytag and Intertherm. The company offers a wide range of heating options ranging from full package heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to furnaces.

One type of heating option offered by Nordyne is the electric furnace. This type of furnace is used in conjunction with ductwork that flows throughout your home or office, allowing the furnace to create the warm air, then pushing it through the space. The electric furnace is often called a "heat pump" and used with a central air system. This is the least efficient type of Nordyne's furnaces due to the fact that heat is often lost through the ductwork during heat transmission.

Nordyne also offers gas furnaces. This type of furnace is fueled by natural gas or propane; a gas line runs from a gas tank outside the building to the inside furnace. The units are designed with a gas shut-off valve to prevent gas leakage, but it's extremely important to be aware of any gas leaks, as they could ignite into a fire. Natural gas and propane heating are two of the most "green" alternatives in the heating industry; they burn cleaner and cause less of an impact on the environment.

The last type of furnace Nordyne offers is the oil furnace. Nordyne introduced the first oil-burning furnace over 50 years ago; today, this product is the most-installed in manufactured homes. The oil furnace operates much like the gas furnace, except the preferred method of fuel is oil. However, Nordyne oil furnaces can also be run on gas or propane depending on your needs. The furnace is heated from an outside tank of oil and the warm air is distributed through the house's ductwork. Like gas furnaces, you will need to watch for dangerous oil leaks which can ignite into flames. The oil furnace allows for cleaner air within the building due to the airflow passing through a filter, removing a large amount of impurities. Oil heating is naturally very warm, resulting in a high efficiency method of heating your home.

Conclusively, Nordyne offers a variety of heating options. They offer three types of heating furnaces: electric, gas, and oil. All furnace types work with a duct system and distribute warm air throughout the building. Electric furnaces are powered by electricity while gas and oil furnaces use alternative fuel sources. Each type of furnace can work in conjunction with an air conditioning unit for year-round temperature control. Nordyne specializes in manufacture home temperature control, and all three types of their furnaces are approved for manufactured home use. This company has been in the heating business for over 50 years and distributes through well-known vendors such as Maytag. Be confident that Nordyne surely has the right product to meet your heating needs.
