Sustainable wine is not organic wine. Well, a number of people are unable to distinguish the words sustainability, preservative free wine, organics and biodynamic wine. These terms can be differentiated. Sustainable wine has been made using a concept that lets the vineyards and its environs to continue producing undiminished products for a long period. The only thing that threatens the sustainable wine growing is the erosion, pests’ resistance, soil depletion, and ecological impact. Sustainable wine is eco-friendly. It combines manmade products in the vineyards and uses pest management techniques that are integrated. This makes it the ideal wine for anyone to take.

When producing sustainable wine, every aspect used in the wine making process is not left out. From soil fertility to erosion and the most vital, the taste of the wine. Everyone drinks wine that has a sweet taste. This is why you will find them buying a green wine or red wine which they know tastes good. No one will opt to buy wine that tastes bad simply because it is a sustainable wine. So the taste of the wine has to be put into consideration when producing a sustainable wine, biodynamic wine or organic wine. It plays a big part especially when it comes to the sales.

The organic wines are categorized into organic wines and organic vineyards. The organic vineyards are manageable without using insecticides, fungicides, synthetic fertilizers or herbicides. One can as well use the vineyard sprays. Instead of using fungicides one can use sulfur or copper. To control the insects you can use the bacteria agents to kill the bacteria wasps. One can use mulching, plowing or hoeing to control the weeds. The organic wine is is made from organic grapes. It contains little amount of sulfur. There are also some preservative free wines which are not made from organic grapes.

Well, there is a difference between biodynamic wine and organic farming. This difference is seen from the microorganisms in the soil and the health of the plant. They all have a different season of planting and harvesting. From a research done on both organic wines and biodynamic wines, it was found that biodynamic wine tastes better. This is because biodynamic wine growing produces good quality grapes. These grapes are fully grown hence producing the sweetest biodynamic wine ever.

You might ask which technique is the best for making wine. Well, there is no better way of making a sustainable wine or biodynamic wine what matters is whether you have the passion, intelligent, creativity, have great resources and sites. People with these qualities have managed to make the best sustainable wine and biodynamic wines. There are also those people who are concerned about their health. They do not want to buy organic wine that contains sulfur or histamine because they are allergic. Choosing to buy organic wine might be of less help to you. Simply buy costly biodynamic wines and sustainable wine. You should avoid taking sparkling and sweet white wines. This will help reduce the allergies.
