Many people may not know this but in the world of extrasensory perception there is an inherent difference between psychics and mediums. With psychics it is all about the ability to sense energies at higher levels of consciousness bearing in mind that psychic information comes through in many different ways and which can be difficult to interpret. Everyone is psychic but at different levels; practicing psychics have perfected the ability to silence their minds so as to listen very carefully for messages from other consciousness levels. Mediums on the other hand are people with the ability to act as a conduit between the client and a consciousness such as the spirit of a long dead loved one.

For a medium to be able to get a reading, he/she requires help from spirit guides and other forms of consciousness. The spirit guide takes care of the medium as he/she maneuvers the different levels of the paranormal and decides which spirits can communicate with the medium. A medium cannot communicate with just any other spirit because spirits are on different levels of learning e.g. that of a recently deceased person may be going through a period of learning, transitioning, healing and detaching itself from our world. A medium can therefore also be a psychic who has mastered the principles of mediumship.

Both psychics and mediums can give readings using methods such as tarot cards, clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, psychometry, remote viewing, telekinesis and so forth to prompt them into the paranormal atmosphere. While in this state readings are obtained courtesy of the psychic’s higher spirit, and the medium’s spirit guide or other forms of consciousness. An accurate reading of the future or the past is possible because a higher consciousness is well capable of accessing every part of the client enough to intimately know his/her soul. This way psychics and mediums are able to give wise and caring counsel, and which is supportive of their clients’ best interests.

Tarot cards, crystal balls, palm reading and so forth are therefore just “tools” which mediums and psychics use to get started and fine-tune into their divine guidance. However, one challenge that both of these experts face is learning to distinguish between what is coming from the mind or soul and that which is divine guidance. All in all, psychics and mediums are available in the thousands and most of them charge for their services. Some offer their services for free although this is in rare or under special circumstances. After all, we all need to take care of our basic and secondary needs and live comfortably.
